Please make life difficult for thieves - ensure your vehicle is locked, and use your alarm or immobiliser if you have one. Please ensure that valuables are not left in your vehicle, and definitely not on view. In particular, please endeavour to remove those tell-tale signs of a sat nav (cradle or mark on window), as these are particularly attractive at the moment.
People only covet what they see. Don't offer temptation nor make it obviously worthwhile to have a go.
Always lock your house doors even if you are in. Ensure that your garden shed does not make life easy for opportunists by having useful tools easily accessible.
