LOCAL GOVERNMENT RE-ORGANISATION – SURVEY
NKDC’s LGR engagement survey has a further week to run, and your support in sharing awareness locally is much appreciated.
It asks for views of what people feel about the importance of local connectivity of what’s important to them, how local they want council functions to be and their priorities for fitting the new councils together through the local LGR process. THE SURVEY CLOSES ON OCTOBER 13TH.
It is very short, should only take a few minutes to complete, and can be reached here:
https://www.givemyview.com/lincolnshirelgr/surveys
Furthermore, residents may like to know that there is a display board in Reception at Kesteven Street giving an overview of what’s what, including maps of the various proposals and a QR Code link to the survey. There are also postcards to take to invite friends, family or neighbours to participate.
The Council’s dedicated webpage relating to LGR is: www.n-kesteven.gov.uk/LGR

COUNCIL SIGNS UK STEEL CHARTER
In response to the motion in July, which was agreed by all members, the Council has now signed the UK Steel Charter to strengthen the sustainable development of steel in the UK.
This supports the economic growth and investment in Scunthorpe and the wider Greater Lincolnshire geography and commits the Council and it’s contractors to use UK Steel where possible.
